Suppliers and distributors perform two very different functions in b2b trade. Suppliers or sellers or exporters offer a merchandise to buyers. Usually buyers have very specific needs. Sellers respond to buying leads or trade leads with price quote and terms/conditions. Buyers decide which supplier to work with. There are many b2b portals like Indiamart, Alibaba etc. who helps buyers find right suppliers. In contrast, distributors work with sellers, they resell the products in their respective market. As you can see the two functions are totally different. For distributors, you should focus on portals dedicated to distributors only. I suggest that you first decide your exact needs. if its suppliers – go for b2b portals. If its distributors, dealers – then go for portals dedicated to distribution trade only. Mixing one with another may lead to wastage of money and time. Please search Google with distributor directory or such keywords to find right sources.
